Dear Judy, I admit, I am not much of a Facebooker either. I use it for the sole purpose of communicating with other like-minded saints. If you would like, you are more than welcome to contact me through my email, which is WDando@iCloud.com.
I love your question thank you. I’m going to have to study a bit more to answer intelligently. Interestingly I just started a book on creation by Pastor Gary Smith.
I will tell you one thing I have learned. I have come to understand that this physical world and the things in it are only representatives of spiritual realities. Many things have to be understood comparing scripture with scripture because God uses physical examples to help us understand spiritual realities. For example, the sea is often used to represent multitudes of people’s.
I believe in taking the Bible, literally as much as possible, but understanding that literal representations are often things that have spiritual significance. For example, Jesus said I am the door. Paul said I have begotten you through the gospel. The nation of Israel was baptized into Moses. That approach means taking everything in its context and comparing the use of the words to other ways in which God uses the same words throughout the Scriptures
So if you would like to email me, it might be easier than using a thread which no longer has a relation to the original question asked about how do you know you love God.
I look forward to hearing from you.
