Hi William Dando,
I’m new to the community. Your post has made me ponder. You say, “While it is evident that God wants all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth,” So, we agree God loves all and sent His Son to die to pay the price for all our sins. This is true.

The next part of what you say is very interesting…”it is reasonable that the scriptures could have said…”
Your choice of the word, ‘reasonable’, is a strange word to go along with anything that God has written. There is nothing reasonable about the scriptures. It is all supernatural!

You question why God wouldn’t say that He, “prepared this for all men whom God loves,” instead you say that He “states that this knowledge was prepared for those who love Him.”
My answer: God does for all, but man has a freewill. It is man’s choice to accept or reject the free gift of salvation that Jesus offers all. Once those of us accept Him by faith alone in His FINISHED work on the cross, God has a plan of just what He will do for all those that choose to love His Son. Ephesians 1:4 He did this before the foundation of the world. These plans are for only those that choose His Son.

You go on to post this…”The frightening question is:
What does this mean for those who don’t see it or those who see it but refuse it?”

Yes! Yea! Yes! I agree this is a very frightening question!
The answer is that those that don’t see it or refuse it will die in their sins with Hell fire in their future.

With Jesus, it’s His all and our nothing. He did it all. A lot of people can’t see it that way. They want to add their own stuff to what Jesus already did. Adding anything to His gift is rejecting what He did.

I hope you enjoyed reading my feedback to your post.
His Servant,
Judy
